NEW for 2023

While the majority of our apparel orders are sourced through retail or preorder fabric websites, we also have hundreds of fabrics on hand that we refer to as LEFTOVERS. These are fabrics that are available after paid orders have been completed and have a faster turn around time than our retail or preorder options! You can find all these fabrics in the “albums” section of our CoPilotCollections VIP Group.

You can comment directly on the photos of the fabrics you are interested in or save the photo and send us an email at copilotcollections@gmail.com or a message @copilotcollections on Instagram to discuss what items you may be interested in. These fabrics can be used for any apparel style listed on the website, along with headbands, bandanas, scrunchies, collars, etc. However please understand that due to the fact that these fabrics are already on hand, the size and availability may vary and may not be enough for certain items.

Q: How does it work?

A: After reviewing the information here, you will fill out a Custom Order form(s) and we will reach out to you via your desired contact method within 24-72 hours to begin the process. When you fill out the form(s), you will let us know what type of fabric you are looking for and we will provide several ideas you can choose from. Please note that due to the nature of custom fabric, items may only be available at certain times but we will work to provide a fabric you love!

Q: How do I know what size I am?

A: All items are made to order and it is very important that you consult the size chart for your selected style and measure carefully in order to choose the correct size. The patterns we use can vary and do not necessarily follow “ready to wear” clothing so please do not guess based off of the size that you normally wear.

  • Chest/Bust: Measure the horizontal circumference, around the body, taken under the arms and across the fullest part of the chest/bust apex.

  • Waist: Measure the minimum horizontal circumference around the body at waist level.

  • Hips: Measure the maximum horizontal circumference around the body at hip height.

  • Inseam: Measure from the groin to just below the ankle bone.

Please refer to your item of interest for any specific measuring tips regarding that style.

Q: Do you accept returns?

A: Because each item is made to order, we do not accept returns on finished pieces, including for fit. Therefore, it is very important that you measure correctly, and we recommend going up a size if your measurements fall in between sizes.

If you receive a damaged or defective product please reach out to us immediately upon receiving the item and we will work with you to provide a reasonable solution.

Q: What do you mean my fabric is a preorder?

A: If your fabric is a preorder, that means it is currently available to be ordered from my supplier and then must be printed and shipped to them, and then subsequently to us. The benefit of a preorder is that we are able to order as much as we need in the bases we desire (cotton lyrcra, woven, french terry, etc). The downside is that since it is being custom printed, there will be a longer turnaround time for us to receive the fabric.

Q: I want to match with my pet(s)! What options do you offer?

A: We love matching and can offer several options! If you would like a matching bandana (tie around or over the collar) for your pet(s) please select this option when filling out your custom order form. If you want to kick it up a notch and order a matching shirt or sweatshirt for your pet, please fill out an additional custom order form for each additional item. (For example, one human sweatshirt and two pet shirts should have 3 forms filled out total). Please fill them out using the same name and contact preference and we will automatically “combine” them for invoicing and shipping purposes. If you wish to pay separately for any reason please let us know.

Q: I want to match with my boyfriend/best friend/mom, etc. How does that work?

A: Follow the same instructions above for matching pet items and fill out an additional custom order form(s) for each additional item. (For example, one men’s and one women’s pullover should have 2 forms filled out total). Please fill them out using the same name and contact preference and we will automatically “combine” them for invoicing and shipping purposes. If you wish to pay separately for any reason please let us know.

Q: I saw a piece of apparel you made for another customer and I want mine to be exactly the same, can you do that?

A: As mentioned, due to the nature of custom fabrics, some items may be available for sale/preorder at a certain time and will not be available later. We have many sources that we use to obtain fabric and will always do our best to find exactly what you want, but it’s possible a past fabric may be out of stock when you are placing your order. In addition, each item is handmade to order and no two items will be truly the same for that reason. Pattern placement will vary depending on the cut, size, style, etc., but you are more than welcome to send past items for inspiration if you have fallen in love with them and we will do our best to recreate something similar.

Q: How do I secure my spot?

A: After filling out the Custom Order form(s), you will be invoiced for a $30 non-refundable deposit. Once this deposit is paid, we can begin designing your custom order. After we know your size, style, and any add-ons you are interested in, we can determine your final price and order your custom fabric. Once the fabric arrives to me, you will be invoiced for your total, less the $30 deposit.

Q: When do I actually pay?

A: As mentioned above, you will pay a $30 deposit to begin the design process. This deposit goes towards the final price of your item. When you receive your final invoice depends on the availability of your fabric. If your desired fabric is immediately available, you will be invoiced within a few days once the fabric arrives to me. If your fabric is a preorder, you will be invoiced once the fabric arrives at CPC headquarters (This will vary by supplier but can be as long as 6-16 weeks for a majority of sources).

Q: This all sounds great, but how long does it take?

A: The processing time needed to complete your order can vary but please allow on average 3-5 weeks as each item is made to order. A more accurate processing time can be found in the details of your Paypal invoice when you make your final payment. Please remember, the is the time needed to complete your order once the fabric is IN HAND. If you are ordering a preorder fabric you must add that wait time to your processing time. We will update you once your preorder fabric has arrived to us so you have an idea of the time line. If you need your item for a specific event or occasion please communicate that with us so we can make a note of it on your order. If you are running behind and need to place a RUSH ORDER this can usually be accommodated (as long as the fabric is in-stock) for an additional fee, please contact us before filling out the form.

Q: I have very sensitive skin/skin allergies… is this important to mention?

A: Yes! All the fabric we use is prewashed and dried to account for shrinkage of the fabric and also to remove any chemicals left over by the custom printing process. We typically use Free and Clear detergent and dryer sheets and may also use Shout color catchers when washing your fabric. If you think you may have an allergy or sensitivity to any of these products, it is important that you mention this in our initial discussion of your order before fabric is procured.

Q: I see that some of your baby/children’s items mention “Grow with Me”. What does this mean?

A: One of our favorite style of children’s items is the “Grow with Me” sizing. These items are made with a waistband and/or cuffs that can fold to accomodate a growing child. These provide an amazing longjevity for wear!
